OH YEAH!! We're going to the USA, people!! We are stoked to bring our tiny little festival to the extremely interesting American post rock scene and build something together.

We've been working on this for a few months now and there is still a lot of work to do. We will need to figure out a lot more things than we now even know about but we are confident to set up the first edition of dunk!USA in 2017. More precisely on October 7th and 8th. Even more precisely in Burlington, Vermont. And yes, we already booked a venue! It's all going to happen in Higher Ground just outside Burlington and very easy to get there.

We went to Burlington last September (picture above) to see the city and all its venues (thank you Paddy from ArtsRiot for the venue tour!). It is a wonderful city at Lake Champlain, only 3 driving hours from Boston and 2 hours from Montreal. Just outside of Burlington there is a lot of green (they call it the Green State for some reason) and mountains for snow fun in winter. This 'band pic' above is taken only a half an hour drive outside of Burlington (it's called Stowe). Btw, did you know Ben & Jerry's headquarters are there? We were excellent tourists and joined the guided tour with free samples at the end :-). But probably our most important lesson from this field trip is that they have plenty of good local beers over there. Who would've thought! Besides that there are a lot of good restaurants, bars, coffee shops, record stores, hotels and an arts district with lots of events. Enough reason for us to close this deal.

If you're a little bit in shape, rent some bikes and take the Island Line Trail. You will be rewarded with this beautiful scenic road over the lake.

We're sure there is plenty of stuff going on there but the main goal will be to attend the very first dunk!USA edition ever. It's way too soon for tickets or line-up announcements but we will keep you posted about our progress. Next on our list: 'How to set this up as a Belgian organization?'. Any ideas?

We would like to send our biggest thanks to David Zeidler for being our guy in Burlington, for showing us around and for helping us to make this happen.
