Lots of exciting stuff going on at dunk!HQ lately. One of them is setting up the next edition of our festival in May and fine-tuning the line-up. It looks like we'll be able to lock the entire line-up in the next few weeks so now we can speed up the announcements! In this second batch of names we have some old friends and lots of new stuff to discover.

Caspian at dunk!festival 2015 by Davy De Pauw

We're extremely excited to have Caspian back at the festival. We don't have to explain how important they are for the post-rock scene. Starting out in 2004 they helped shaping the scene to what it is now. And as you know they never disappoint on stage and always bring an epic performance. We've seen that at dunk!festival in 2011 and in 2015.

Radare from Germany is a rather new discovery for us. Their latest album 'Im Argen' has been spinning on our turntable for weeks. They describe themselves as something between Angelo Badalamenti, Bohren & Club of Gore and Talk Talk resulting in a mood where calmness turns into unease, and the line between comfort and uncertainty begins to blur. You'll find us in the front row!

Appalaches at dunk!USA 2017 by Wouter De Bolle

Appalaches from Montreal, Canada shouldn't be unknown to you after we released their album Cycles on dunk!records in 2017 and having them play a wonderful set at dunk!USA last October. It's not a secret that we are really into their sound so we kindly invited them to come over to Europe and bring their loudness to our stage.

La Bestia De Gevaudan from Chile will open the 14th edition of dunk!festival. Their music moves between noise, hardcore, sludge, post-rock and shoegaze. This will be heavy! But also quiet at some points. Just have a listen yourself. For their upcoming album they had Mike Armine from Rosetta as a guest vocalist. Thursday, May 10th, 12:30. Be in time!

Tides Of Man at dunk!USA 2017 by Wouter De Bolle

Tides Of Man at dunk!USA 2017 by Wouter De Bolle

Also Tides Of Man from Florida, USA joined us on the first edition of dunk!USA a few months ago. Blending carefully measured, calming melodies with hard-won crescendos, Tides of Man embodies everything modern post-rock has built its name upon. We couldn't resist (why should we!) asking them for the EU edition as well.

Already announced: EF, Thot, Ranges, Worriedaboutsatan, Cranial.
