Set and Setting are an instrumental band from St. Petersburg Florida, whose work encompasses drone and ambient music to experimental rock and metal. The band was founded by guitarist Shane Handal, as a recording project in 2009. Several musicians came and went with the lineup finally settling around drummers Mark Etherington and Stephen Handal, guitarist Ryan Fugate, and bassist Nick Sibilia. Their debut album "Equanimity", was issued in 2013 via Science of Silence Records, which they supported with the effort of DIY touring throughout the underground and extreme music scenes in all of the U.S. and parts of Canada. In 2014, Set and Setting released their second album, "A Vivid Memory" via Prosthetic Records and continued to tour internationally and locally with bands such as Mouth of the Architect, EyeHateGod, Inter Arma, and Kayo Dot throughout 2015. 2016 brought a tough year of writing and recording while battling injuries within the band limiting live performances. Malämmar has created a sonic monument, primitive and sulfurous. Six instrumental tracks where an epic and old picture, laden with iron and copper, myths and walls, battles and prisoners prevails. A heavy cadence, overwhelming, unsettling and war traverses the howl LP. There are no hymns because there are no celebrations. The themes are litanies that offer landscapes where the ruins of fortresses appears in the distance. Only ruins.
The tracks are untitled because they are part of a single piece, an absolute statement of musical rawness and aesthetics. There is no place for anything beautiful, nothing hopeful, a few sunrises and almost no sunset. Only echoes of footsteps on the land that have left behind an empire and desires to conquer another. Hunger and thirst.
Malämmar is the music that Hannibal would have chosen for the campaign against Rome in which crossed the Pyrenees and the Alps with fifty thousand soldiers and forty elephants. Carthaginian relentless revenge. [José María Carrasco, RNE]

Flash the Readies is a Czech post-rock band with feels of alternative rock and psychedelia. They have come a long way since their formation in 2006 when they started as an indie rock band, but evolved into a mainly instrumental band on their previous album Submarine Sky (2014) and went entirely post-rock on Kayos (2016). They emphasize on strong melodies with ambient and cinematic feels, but are also not afraid of build-ups and loud finals which fully explode in their live performances. Their influences are MONO, Godspeed You! Black Emperor with gentle touches of Pink Floyd.
Kayos, their fourth full album, recorded beneath the mountain peaks of Jeseniky, evokes the world in chaos. It is a sonic journey where calm passages precede emotional eruptions in the spirit of the genre’s best. It is a cinematic, imaginative, soundtrack for a non-existent post apocalyptic movie.
Please don't share any songs until they're actually released. Until now only Obodin and Kitten Diver Fair are released.
Release: Sept. 23rd, 2016. On double 180g vinyl in gatefold cover.
Pray for Sound started as a solo studio project by Bruce Malley in late 2011. Earlier in Bruce's life, doctors discovered a large destructive cyst called a cholesteatoma growing inside his left ear. After repeated surgical removal of the cyst and reconstruction of his ear, he was left with severe hearing loss, tinnitus, and reoccurring pain. Inspired by this struggle, Bruce translated these emotional experiences into the music and artwork that make up Pray for Sound's debut album, Monophonic. Shortly after this release Bruce assembled a band to create an intense live experience with a monstrous sound and an intricate light show.
The third release from Pray for Sound, Everything Is Beautiful, communicates the dichotic concept of light vs. dark without a single spoken word. As the follow up to the band’s 2014 album Dreamer, Everything Is Beautiful marks an all in decision to dedicate their energies towards the band. “The five of us left our ‘real lives’ behind in Massachusetts and relocated up to Glover, Vermont for eight days with all our music equipment,” recalls Malley. “No distractions or stress.” Removing all societal participation built quite a euphoric experience for the band, and allowed them to find renewed creativity in their songwriting. The eleven new songs found on Everything Is Beautiful feature turbulent guitar riffs and heart pounding drums accompanied by sweeping and all encompassing undercurrents of sound that evoke the likes of My Bloody Valentine, Tycho, and Explosions in the Sky. “We discovered a newfound excitement for the music we were making,” says Malley of the time spent writing and recording Everything Is Beautiful. “We took our time to finish our ideas, and the end result is something we're all incredibly proud of.”
Everything Is Beautiful was written, recorded, produced, and mixed by the band themselves. Pray for Sound will begin hinting new songs and content from Everything Is Beautiful beginning September 2nd, 2016 as pre-orders for the album begin. The band is accompanied by a united release from I Am Shark, AM/FM Records, and dunk!records (EU) coordinating a full-length release via Digital/CD/Vinyl/Merch on September 23rd, 2016.

Through the years they performed at numerous venues and festivals throughout Europe and Asia including dunk!festival and the Roskilde Festival. “Templates for Mimesis” signifies the 5th release, consisting of 5 new tracks that individually and combined reveals the next fractions of the overall journey and its designated destination. The creation of the album has been focused on expressing the nature and purpose of the fractions towards this destination, not the time it takes to reach it. Its inspiration is based on observation and interpretation of everyday actions and substitutes, along with the circumstances that precede them. The listener is invited to be its own personal interpreter and narrator of the introverted journey, further exploring what is internal, external and exists in the mimesis between the two causalities.
Completing a 9 concert sold out headliner tour in China in 2015, The Seven Mile Journey will return to China in 2016 and will also perform concerts on various European venues in 2017.
Feel free to share the full album stream of Templates for Mimesis.

Lost In Kiev from Paris, France released their first full album Motions on dunk!records in 2013 and proved their live skills at dunk!festival in 2013 and 2014.
Their progressive energy leads to oneiric epic post-rock while still emitting the massive energy of post-rock. Their influences are Russian Circles, Red Sparowes, 65daysofstatic, Cult of Luna, Maybeshewill, Mogwai,...
Nuit Noire, their second full album, is an anthem of the night. Odes to nights of dreams and nights of loneliness that also becomes mystical. The stories (written and recorded by the band) will immerse you in each of these Nuits Noires. As you can deduct from their influences Lost In Kiev's origins are firmly grounded in post-rock. However, more direct layouts of the new tracks, a more airy sound and an electronic touch will reveal their new direction.
