A new concept to organize more shows next to our annual 3 day festival.
The first edition is planned for March 9th in Café De Blauwe Wolk in Zottegem with:
- Kokomo from Germany (played twice at dunk!festival before)
- Colaris from Germany (first time in Belgium)
- Stories From The Lost from Zottegem (will play at dunk!festival2012)

Junius (US) played an awesome set after God Is An Astronaut on Friday.
Since dunk!festival2012 is coming closer videos need to be uploaded before we are two editions behind on schedule!
So here is another video of last years edition.
God Is An Astronaut was the first band to hit the stage in 2011.
They were probably the best starting band we will ever have

San Diablo and Steak Number Eight from Belgium and The Beauty The World Makes Us Hope For from France were the last addition to the line up.
The day schedule is presented on the poster but the order of the bands on the same day could still change.

You may have noticed that we entered 2012. This year will be even greater than 2011.
Not only because the festival will be amazing again! But also because our own label already planned some new releases for this year.
First thing on the agenda is the release of ‘Drown’ by Kasan in February on CD and LP!

Na een eerste combi-project in het voorjaar met Tjitske Janssen en Mary and Me, zetten de stadsbibliotheek en het dunk!festival hun samenwerking verder met een nieuw dubbeloptreden in de oude kapel in de Kasteelstraat.
Tom Wolf, een telg van de Zottegemse muzikale De Wolffamilie, bouwt al jaren met succes aan zijn muzikale carrière en tourde lang met An Pierlé. Na Hein, die enkele jaren geleden met zijn band Monogold reeds speelde op het dunk!festival, zijn we bijzonder blij om ook Tom te kunnen laten spelen in Zottegem.
Zijn literaire tegenhanger is Christophe Vekeman die reeds enkele malen hier mee te maken was, oa ook al op het dunk!festival … Zijn columns in De Morgen zijn snedig en to the point en zijn uitspattingen op het podium doen denken aan een jonge Herman Brusselmans.
Voor wie even aan de kerstboom wil ontsnappen!

- Atlantis (NL) released their album ‘Mistress Of Ghosts’ on vinyl with us last summer and will be there on dunk!festival 2012 to show you why you need to have it in your collection!
The amazing Belgian band Terraformer will join dunk!records for releasing their first full album!
Their EP sounds massive and they told me they are a little heavier now.

You probably already knew the good news about The Samuel Jackson Five (NO) and SleepMakesWaves (AUS) coming to dunk!festival 2012?
Kasan (DE) is working on a new album right now! You might now them from dunk!cinema 2010 where they played an amazing set.
Their new album will be released at our own label, dunk!records in January 2012.
It will be our 4th release already and the first one of a lot more releases to come in 2012!
And of course Kasan is coming to dunk!festival 2012 to blow you away with their new stuff!
