Legendary Japanese jazz trio Mouse On The Keys need no introduction. Their unique approach blending post-rock and jazz has already garnered them universal acclaim and a worldwide fanbase. We’re beyond thrilled to finally host them in what already promises to be a highlight not only of our 2025 edition, but of our 20 year history. For you must know, we’ve been trying to bring this eclectic Japanese trio to the festival for years, so what better occasion to finally do so than our 20th anniversary?

We’ve been in love with Mouse on the Keys since the release of their 2009 album “An Anxious Object” a record that single-handedly redefined not one but three genres and is still breaking ground almost twenty years from its release. It’s hard to imagine what post-rock and jazz would be without this album, as Mouse On The Keys managed to fuse these seemingly contrasting styles into a single exhilarating entity, setting the path for many of the math-y and jazzy albums that followed. For while their sound remains solidly rooted in jazz, Mouse On The Keys enrich it with elements of classical, rock, post-hardcore, and techno music, creating their own personal interpretation of all these genres.

Always blurring lines and always breaking strides, yet always staying true to their jazz core, Mouse on the Keys are a force of nature which we simply cannot wait to finally witness live in all its sheer might.
