Lovers of experimentation will find their match at the festival this year, thanks to the industrial ambient drones of The Void of Expansion. The Void of Expansion is one of the many faces of Dirk Serries, a household name in the Belgian music scene, and now at our festival too, with this being his 3rd stay after appearing as Yodok III in 2016 and with Loud as Giants as late as last year. This time he will be backed by Tomas Järmyr on drums in a series of sprawling and immersive compositions bridging industrial music with modern jazz and bordering full improvisation. A perfect moment for introspection, these frenetic, syncopated, experimental pieces will prompt you to search deep inside yourself while The Void of Expansion gracefully embark on a mission of further exploring musical compositional boundaries. This eclectic duo will scratch your itch for immersive experimental music and lure you into their massive sound labyrinth.
