CORECASS (de)

Friday May 10th
17:15 - 18:00 / Theaterzaal

Behind CORECASS is distinguished classic composer Elinor Lüdde; a Hamburg-based multi-instrumentalist with several movie scores under her belt and boundless compositional creativity. Her latest solo project “V O I D” in fact included harp, guitar, piano church organ and synths, drone and field recordings in an enthralling and highly evocative experimental Neo-classical record. All recorded and composed by Lüdde herself, these tracks reach deep into her personal and musical “selves” and blend genres as far reaching as dark ambient and medieval secular and liturgical music. Blending and juxtaposing seemingly contrasting styles CORECASS explore a wide-reaching sound palette which in turn encapsulate a full spectrum of emotions, ranging from desperation to joy and offering to the listener a chance for mediation and self-reflection. Aptly layering mounting organ and tantalising harp compositions with sweeping synths and eerie electronically-altered vocals, CORECASS deliver a visceral and emotionally-compelling experience, well suited for a live setting. A truly unique performance that will keep you reminiscing long after it is concluded.
