Inverness are the latest addition to the festival’s growing list of South American bands, bringing their unique spin on the genre we all love. In keeping with the tradition to have an act represent this musically bright and compelling continent, we invited this Chilean quintet to showcase their soulful and evocative rock music, in a performance destined to transport the audience in a moment filled with powerful and gripping emotions. Inverness in fact don’t disdain using vocals as their predominant means to channel ideas and inspirations into music, in a compelling mix of shoegaze and post-rock of high pop sensitivities. Soothing and mesmerising, these compositions suggest a full spectrum of emotions without ever forgetting to include a silver lining, which permeates through joyful and cheerful arrangements. Propelling post-rock into dream-pop space and exploring uncharted territories with vocally-laden soundscapes, Inverness bring a truly unique voice to the festival.
