Fresh off celebrating 10 years of their debut album Motions (a real soundtrack to a movie that never was) the French masters of not-so-silent cinema soundtracks have rightly become one of the most well-regarded voices in the European post-rock scene. Lost in Kiev’s secret is simple as it is cunning; sprawling crescendos, bombastic climaxes, and an extensive use of samples build immersive soundscapes in which the listener can immerse themselves and let their imagination run free. The band’s beautiful scores transport the listener to otherworldly destinations on a journey of self-reflection and personal discovery.
