This year we’re really bringing you the widest range of post-rock available with anything from heavy and powerful to calming and introspective. Oh Hiroshima splendidly represent the more romantic side of post-rock and their elegant arrangements have warranted them worldwide acclaim and recognition beyond the genre’s boundaries. What sets these Swedes apart is the predominant use of vocals and especially the masterful way these are incorporated into blissful and ethereal compositions, soaring to quiet yet roaring climaxes.

These sprawling compositions are so gracefully orchestrated that sweep the listener with a powerful emotional grip, even more impressive considering that Oh Hiroshima is only a duo comprised of Jakub Hemström and Oskar Nilsson. Jakub’s singing never overshadows the music, but beautifully complements it, contributing to the band’s gripping sound. Oh Hiroshima’s delicate compositions balance post-rock most introspective moments with their booming counterparts, in a spending mix that is as unique as it is universally reconignable.
