These cheerful Sydneysiders are a household name in any respectable post-rock circuit. And rightly so as for nearly 20 years, sleepmakeswaves have not just been writing love songs about delay pedals but electrified and captivated the post-rock masses with their uniquely fun blend of progressive, indie and post-rock in the process! The key to the band’s success is the cheerful and jovial character of their music, which helps sleepmakesaves stand out from their more introvert and introspective counterparts. Sporting the inclusion of non-standard elements like singing and vocoders, and a writing style that doesn’t turn its nose up at more indie and poppish arrangements, sleepmakeswaves are a cheerful and dynamic bunch with a truly larger-than-life discography!
