Glacier are a five-piece post-metal band hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, whose music fully embodies their name; a crushing and unrelenting force that is equally as beautiful as it is foreboding. Their 2019 album 'No Light Ever' earned a nomination for Best Metal Artist at the Boston Music Awards and landed on year-end lists at respectable outlets like Heavy Blog Is Heavy and WherePostRockDwells. Their 2024 follow-up 'A Distant, Violent Shudder'—set against the backdrop of the Dust Bowl—showcases the band at their most refined: sprawling and claustrophobic at once, finding harsh beauty in shared traumatic experience. dunk!festival saw them live at Post.
