Huracan (be)

Huracán are a true force of nature, a crushing and relentless ordeal; apt, given the name.  Blending post- and stoner metal with an honest hardcore punk attitude, Huracán are hard-working and hard-hitting!

On their 2022 record “We Are Very Happy” they announced themselves to a dunk!records audience used to gentle(r) and calm(er) compositions with razor-sharp riffs, propulsive drumming, psych-rooted rhythms, and bludgeoning vocals in an orgiastic feast of everything metal, noise, and punk. The resulting melting pot of sounds and rhythms recalling everything from The Ocean’s Precambrian era to early Pelican passing through Pallbearer’s doom metal opuses. The band doubled down on the abrasiveness on their follow-up “2025 EP” a four-song EP featuring their fiercest and most furious tracks to date. Here the band favour immediacy over build-up but with equally crushing results, this is sludge-y post-metal that doesn't dawdle; it arrives fast and hits you hard, leaving you staggering but begging for more.
