We’re happy to introduce the latest Chilean band to join our festival to you, the heralds of “folk of hell” Las 3 Marias! Hailing from Santiago, they describe themselves as 'un no power trio con mucho power'—a non-power trio with a lot of power, which should tell you everything you need to know about the band’s ferocity, but also approach to composition.

Their 2025 album 'Inherente' draws on the poetic legacy of Chilean Nobel laureate Gabriela Mistral weaving haunting instrumentals, lush dark folk textures, and emotive vocal intensity into a one-of-a-kind form of storytelling. This is el folk del infierno: a compelling story to be written, only to be scrapped and rewritten, told and retold with ever-new, ever-growing visceral intensity. Equal parts melancholic and hopeful, romantic and desperate, joyful and sad, Las 3 Marias will offer a compelling and emotional set that will be scripted as it happens live on stage.
