Pelican needs no introduction. Having helped define the standards of instrumental post-metal over the course of more than two decades, their name is synonym of “legendary” and echoes with the same power of the undertow as the wave recedes (only to crash against the shore once more). Their return to the festival marks the 10th anniversary of their first performance (also with Russian Circles) in a show that is destined to be become another piece of dunk! history.

Last year the band returned from a long hiatus with another essential album for every true aficionado of granite-hard riffs and impetuous crescendos, the monumental “Flickering Resonance”. Intricate guitar loops sprout from the fibers of a massive, booming rhythm section—devastating like a storm, yet also capable of caressing an existentialist side that, deep down, lulls us home like a gentle wave. Led by this cascade of roaring riffs Pelican will once again resonate in all their post-metal might.
