The Color of Cyan (us)

The Color of Cyan is one of those beautiful “dunk” stories that makes us proud to do what we do even 20 years on. Captained by Eduardo Cintron and hailing from Chicago, we first of The Color of Cyan when Eduardo reached out to dunk!pressing in 2022 to release the band’s debut album “Agape” on vinyl in what turned out to be the first of many collaborations. The latest, a double live album recorded with a string quartet and Chicago’s legendary Electrical Audio will be available just on time for the festival. So what better way to celebrate a live album than another live show, this time in the iconic forests of Zottegem?

Sonically, The Color of Cyan belong to the American post-rock canon, opposing shorter, plainer tracks to winding sonic constructions, and favouring immediacy over build-up’s. Emotionally however, they belong to a league of their own, as their compelling soundscapes transport and enchant listeners with a remarkable grip. Post-rock at its most architecturally ambitious, Eduardo curates every aspect of these releases, from the mastering and the artwork, to the vinyl layout, print finish, and colours.
