This is starting to look like a small festival lineup now. Three bands in total! In this second announcement we would like to present two bands to you. Both are known for their hard work and dedication to get their music to a stage near you. And both of them released a new album recently. Make sure to get a copy of those excellent sounding albums as a way to prepare for their promising appearance at dunk!festival 2027! See below for more details.
There is not much to be found about this band, but their online profiles are clear about one thing: they’re an instrumental cult band from Spain. And that is true in many ways. They are definitely an instrumental band, bringing mostly heavy post-rock while leaving enough room to breathe with quieter guitar parts that remind us of Explosions In The Sky. As for the ‘cult’ part, we assume it mostly refers to the cult appearance, as they see their shows rather as a homilie. Also their band name has a religious connection by referring to Exodus 28:1 (source). Either way, this is going to be a remarkable performance.
Terraformer from Liège, Belgium has a long-standing connection to the festival and to dunk!records. They were signed to the label 14 years ago and are still part of the family. In all those years they’ve delivered some memorable shows. Always intense, mostly in the dark and covered in smoke. The Terraformer signature sound is built on of that distinctive delayed guitar tapping technique and is often the ominous intro to a post-metal groove that you never want to end. Their latest album La Chute comes with an extra layer of dramatic vocals, perfectly balanced with those captivating guitar shredding climaxes. Have a listen yourself and immerse yourself into the Terraformer universe.
